Elizabeth Kirt MSN, FNP-C, WCC
Specializing in Functional Medicine and the Treatment of Lyme Disease
Elizabeth Kirt is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in chronic Lyme disease, mycotoxin illness, and mental health issues. Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and summa cum laude from the University of Colorado with a master’s degree in nursing and a specialty in family medicine. Currently Elizabeth is studying at the Functional Medicine University and will be working on a fellowship grant while attending Johns Hopkins University for mental health in the fall of 2021.
Elizabeth became interested in functional and integrative medicine while studying at the University of Colorado, when she was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease. The lack of compassion and relief from conventional medicine changed the way she viewed disease and medicine. Through her own healing, Elizabeth discovered the power of alternative modalities and integrative medicine.
Although Elizabeth is trained and equipped to handle many illnesses, she specializes in chronic Lyme disease, tick borne illness, mycotoxin illness, multiple chemical sensitivity/toxic-induced loss of tolerance, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, heavy metal exposure, hormone balancing, depression, anxiety, and similar illnesses.
Interests
When not assisting patients, Elizabeth enjoys hiking, biking, camping, paddle boarding, snowboarding, reading, and attending medical conferences. Elizabeth is able to enjoy most of these activities out her front door in Steamboat Springs, CO where she lives with her two beautiful children Albert and Lillian and her loving husband, Dave.
Elizabeth is licensed in Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, New Mexico, and Arizona. Elizabeth treats patients virtually and intermittently at the Grand Haven, MI clinic.
